- (24/01) Operational Wallacea carries out environmental and conservation research and are holding a Careers in Conservation webinar on Monday 27th January at 6pm Click here to register.
- (24/01) UBS, a global leader in wealth management and investment banking is hosting an Insight to UBS: Banking & Finance evening on Monday 3rd February to discover more about their degree apprenticeships. Click here to register.

- (20/12) Bucks Healthcare Trust will open applications on 4th April, for Y12 and Y13 work experience in a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical departments. Work experience will take place in the summer term. Find out more and to book click here.
- (16/1) A guide to degree apprenticeships has just been published here. It offers a good overview of apprenticeships. The companies profiled in detail represent the professions and sectors where the majority of apprenticeships are offering: finance, tech, engineering and construction. But note the list of companies at the back of the booklet is a snapshot of larger firms, not the total.
- (16/1) Freshfields (London-based international law firm) are holding a virtual Insight evening on Monday 27th January. Find out more about training to be a solicitor and their apprenticeship programme, click here to book.
- (14/01) Williams F1 are offering work experience (Y10-13) at their Grove (Wantage) headquarters. Deadline for application is 24th January. Click here for info.
- (10/01) Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is offering a variety of after school, in person, career talks - for any age - in a huge range of clinical and science professions. This term they are offering sessions on careers in psychology and biomedical sciences. More information, dates and booking link can be found here.
- (6/01) Dyson Institute is now accepting applications for its undergraduate engineering degree. Applications stay open until 29th January. Check out their website for information.
- BAe Systems have just launched apprenticeships across the country in a variety roles, lots to choose from here!
- (5/12) Bucks Skills Hub has published the latest edition of Classroom to Careers including information evenings and work experience opportunities., find it here.
- (3/12) Henley College information evening takes place on 21st January. For more information and to book, check out their website here.
- (4/11) Microsoft hs announced the launch of its apprenticeships schemes; find out more and register here.
- (4/11) WSP (engineering and environmental) have launched their apprenticeship schemes here.
- (4/11) The BBC have launched some of their apprenticeship schemes here.
- (17/10) Amazing Apprenticeships has released its latest Higher and Degree Apprenticeship Listing here.
- (11/10) Deloitte (finance, tech and consultancy) are accepting applications for their degree apprenticeship programmes here.

Useful Websites
Unifrog is a careers platform used in school - every student should have a login.
Prospects is a great website, funded, but independent of UK universities, offering lots of information on graduate jobs. Use the search tool to ask "what can I do with my X degree" and it will provide up-to-date and well-written information with lots of other links.
Investin offers paid-for university and work experience.
The National Career Service offers online career advice and one-to-one advice to anyone over the age of 18.
Springpod offers lots of virtual work experience opportunities (for free).
The Sutton Trust offers summer schools and support for applicants who want to study at competitive universities or apply for degree apprentices with the aim of improving social mobility.

Gap Year

Local FE (16-18) Colleges
Students have a wide variety of options after Year 11. As well as A-Levels at school sixth forms and local colleges, Level 3 BTEC and T level qualifications are offered locally at the colleges below. Students can also apply for Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships.

University
UCAS is used to apply for university but it is also a database of every course in the UK, so great for researching. It also provides a wide range of useful information on courses, contextual offers etc.
